Senior IT System Administrator

The Senior IT System Administrator role is an onsite, full-time position in Fairfax, VA. Compensation is not specified. The administrator maintains and secures a mission-critical enterprise environment, supporting system availability and operational users. The role combines Windows and/or Linux server administration, network troubleshooting, user support, security monitoring, incident response, and backup and disaster-recovery activities.

What you'll do

• Administer Windows and/or Linux servers, including user accounts, patching, and STIG implementation
• manage and troubleshoot switches, routers, and firewalls
• provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 user support, including VTC setup and troubleshooting
• monitor security logs and alerts
• assist with incident response, vulnerability remediation, and COMSEC compliance
• maintain backups and test disaster recovery plans.
