• Review material requirements for actual and forecasted sales
• plan and purchase materials, parts, and components
• manage supplier performance
• develop cost-saving purchasing strategies
• negotiate with suppliers
• source parts with Engineering, Accounting, Production, and Leadership
• evaluate suppliers and market conditions
• manage vendor selection and contracts
• maintain assigned commodity records, source lists, and supplier invoice reconciliation
• lead or participate in continuous improvement.
