The Cook II role is onsite in Medina, NY. Compensation is $21.49 per hour. The cook supports Iroquois Job Corps Food Services by preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for students and staff, including students building education and career skills. The role contributes to daily meal service by preparing food to menus and production schedules, maintaining food safety and inventory practices, and supporting kitchen operations. It also includes supervising and mentoring Culinary Arts and Work-Based Learning students assigned to Food Services.

What you'll do

• Prepare meals according to menus and production schedules
• determine food quantities using meal counts
• follow food safety and sanitation regulations
• set up serving lines and assist with meal service
• complete production and inventory records
• monitor inventory and request supplies
• store, label, rotate, and handle food properly
• document leftovers
• maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining facility
• report unsafe conditions
• supervise and mentor Culinary Arts and Work-Based Learning students.
