The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic role is onsite in Auburn, NY. The hourly wage is $36.83. O-I manufactures glass packaging for food, beverage, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical brands; this role supports machinery and equipment at its Auburn plant. The mechanic maintains and repairs plant machinery and related electrical or electronic equipment to support facility operations. The work includes equipment installation, troubleshooting, fabrication, and upkeep, helping keep production machinery functional and ready.

What you'll do

• Install, maintain, repair, dismantle, overhaul, reassemble, adjust, and test plant machinery and equipment
• weld, braze, solder, cut, and scrape metals for repairs and fabrication
• perform trade functions including plumbing, masonry, carpentry, and metal work
• construct rigging and scaffolding
• move heavy equipment
• lubricate machinery.

Why this role

High school degree or GED required; four years of relevant experience or a two-year technical degree required. Journeyman card preferred; experience with 480V motors and controls and reading blueprints and wiring diagrams is sought; PLC skills are a plus.
