Evening Program Instructor

The Evening Program Instructor is an onsite, seasonal role in Jamestown, CO, paying $21 per hour. Cal-Wood Education Center provides environmental education programming for children and families in a 1,200-acre mountain setting. The instructor leads evening learning and recreation activities and helps facilitate meals, creating engaging outdoor and indoor educational experiences for student groups. Occasional weekend family camp instruction and weekday substitute field instruction may also be available.

What you'll do

• Facilitate dinners
• lead evening programs such as night hikes, campfires, indoor team-building, and science programs
• work 3.5-hour shifts from 5:30–9:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, at least two to three evenings per week
• receive training in campfires, night hikes, meal facilitation, and indoor science programs. Optional: work occasional Saturday–Sunday family camps, including overnight, or substitute for weekday outdoor education programs.
