Purchasing Assistant

Job overview

The Purchasing Assistant role is onsite in Ontario, NY, and pays $25–$28 per hour. The part-time position at CS Automation supports the Purchasing Manager and Customer Service Manager in daily operations. The assistant follows up on purchase orders and shipments, helps resolve receipt and inventory issues, and fulfills customer documentation requests. The role also provides cross-training in customer service to help support the department when it is at capacity.

What you'll do

• Run weekly overdue purchase-order and expedite reports and follow up with vendors
• address receipt issues, shortages, incorrect or defective products, and inventory quarantine with warehouse staff
• fulfill customer requests for Certificates of Conformance and related documentation
• assist with inventory-management projects
• receive cross-training in customer service.
