The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) role is onsite in Washington, DC, with compensation of $110,000–$140,000 per year. The position provides cybersecurity support for the Department of the Navy Special Access Program (DON SAP) IT program. The ISSO helps protect program systems by maintaining security controls and documentation, assessing vulnerabilities and control effectiveness, and supporting authorization processes in line with Risk Management Framework requirements and federal regulations.

What you'll do

• Provide cybersecurity support for the DON SAP IT program
• monitor, assess, and maintain security controls for compliance with Risk Management Framework requirements and federal regulations
• collaborate with Information Systems Security Engineers and technical teams to integrate security measures
• develop and maintain RMF documentation, artifacts, and security policies
• assess and guide security controls during system design and implementation
• monitor security posture and control effectiveness
• conduct security assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans and recommend mitigations
• manage authorization and accreditation processes and document system architectures and information types. Requires active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification, and at least six years of cybersecurity experience.

Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required. Nessus (ACAS), Splunk, STIGs, SCAP tools, and large-scale enterprise IT program expertise required; ITILv4, ServiceNow, eMASS or Xacta, and IAT Level III certification are preferred.
