Pediatric Private Duty Nurse (LVN/RN)

The Pediatric Private Duty Nurse (LVN/RN) role is onsite in San Antonio, TX, with compensation of $22–$39 per hour. First Step Nursing and Therapy Services provides one-on-one nursing care and support to patients and their families. The nurse delivers direct care to an assigned pediatric patient, monitors and documents the patient’s condition, administers prescribed treatments, and supports G-tube and respiratory needs. The role helps maintain continuity of care through communication with the nursing supervisor or physician and family education.

What you'll do

• Provide hands-on nursing care
• assess and document the patient’s condition
• administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies
• monitor and manage G-tube and respiratory needs
• provide tracheostomy and ventilator care when assigned to a high-acuity case
• take vital signs
• communicate condition changes to the nursing supervisor and/or physician
• educate and support family members and caregivers
• complete timely documentation in Kantime.
