The Senior Construction Electrical Engineer role is onsite in Lake Mary, FL, with compensation of $115,000–$135,000 per year. The engineer serves as the technical lead for construction and commissioning support on power-generation projects, including simple-cycle, combined-cycle, and combined heat and power projects. The role provides authoritative electrical engineering guidance, oversees construction and commissioning activities, resolves complex site and design issues, and supports compliance with codes, client requirements, and grid rules. It also coordinates with project teams, vendors, and contractors and mentors junior engineers to help deliver safe, compliant project execution.

What you'll do

  • Lead electrical technical support for construction and commissioning
  • develop, review, and approve installation, testing, and commissioning procedures
  • validate AC/DC designs and field execution
  • interpret electrical drawings and protection documents
  • resolve site and design issues
  • oversee construction support planning, protection studies, relay settings, and short-circuit analyses
  • coordinate grid-code compliance
  • review technical submittals and equipment acceptance
  • mentor engineers.
