Utility Locator

Job overview

The Utility Locator is an onsite role based in Fairfax, VA. Compensation is $20–$25 per hour, supporting the Locator team in preventing damages to utility infrastructure. This role is responsible for learning safety rules and techniques to find underground utility lines, using special tools, and recording findings to ensure construction projects are safe and efficient.

What you'll do

• Learn utility locating techniques and safety protocols
• Partner with experienced Utility Locators to mark underground utility lines
• Document findings using digital mapping tools
• Operate company vehicle
• Participate in classroom and field training
• Perform manhole entry
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
