Customer Service Representative (Order Clerk)

The Customer Service Representative (Order Clerk) role is onsite in Indianapolis, IN, with compensation of $18–$20 per hour. Walman Optical supports independent eye care professionals with optical products and services, with a mission to enrich lives through better vision. This role manages customer and vendor requests and coordinates with other departments to provide responsive service. It supports accurate order handling, returns, quotations, and customer relationships.

What you'll do

• Receive and process quotation, order, change, adjustment, and cancellation requests
• maintain customer rapport
• sort, clean, repackage, and document returned products
• support monthly auto-kit mailings and maintain participating account lists
• use a PC to retrieve and update customer and order information
• coordinate with vendors on orders, status, quotations, and delivery
• troubleshoot questions
• communicate company policies and promotions
• sort and deliver mail
• perform assigned computer backups and daily close-out
• cross-train
• maintain an organized work area
• follow safety, attendance, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements
• assist coworkers and provide guidance to less experienced coworkers.
