Project Engineer

Job overview

The Project Engineer will manage engineering projects from conception, design, procurement, installation, project cost, and commissioning to include review of project performance with plant operations and maintenance personnel. This is an onsite role based in Phoenix, AZ. Compensation is not specified in the posting. The role exists to manage engineering projects, including construction management, scheduling, and contractor oversight. The engineer contributes to the company's goals by ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

What you'll do

• Assist in preparation and implementation of the capital budget
• Manage assigned projects including concept design and layouts
• Supervise and check detailing
• Research and specify equipment
• Write specifications, contracts, and requisitions
• Solicit bids and make recommendations
• Supervise and coordinate installation and start-up
• Instruct personnel on operation and maintenance
• Review design calculations and drawings
• Provide design calculations and drawings
• Support local plant in technical matters
• Support environmental department
• Write technical reports
• Maintain department files
• Implement regulations including OSHA, MSHA, UPC, UBC, NFPA, and NEC.
