Wellness Attendant

Job overview

The Wellness Attendant role is onsite in Putnam, CT, with weekend hours including Friday evening and Saturday and Sunday open-to-close shifts. Pay is $16.94 per hour. The role supports the YMCA’s Wellness department and its fitness center services for members, participants, and guests. The attendant helps members use the fitness center safely and feel connected to YMCA programs. By providing member support, monitoring participation, maintaining equipment, and following YMCA procedures, the role contributes to a welcoming and well-run wellness environment.

What you'll do

• Greet and assist members and guests
• make member engagement calls
• conduct new-member fitness appointments and complete related paperwork
• identify unsafe or ineffective exercise techniques and offer helpful suggestions
• monitor participation and provide feedback
• check and clean equipment and report repair needs
• maintain cleanliness and enforce YMCA policies and emergency procedures
• attend staff meetings.
