The Youth Development Professional role is onsite at Sally Mauro Elementary in Helper, UT, with a Tuesday–Friday schedule from 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and pay of $15–$17 per hour. The Boys & Girls Club of Carbon County runs the afterschool program from August 2026 through May 2027. The role creates a safe, engaging afterschool environment by supervising youth, leading activities, and building positive relationships. It supports young people’s confidence, teamwork, and development while helping the site team manage daily program operations.

What you'll do

• Actively supervise youth and manage large groups in a safe, structured environment
• follow organization policies and behavior-management expectations
• respond to incidents, injuries, or emergencies
• lead and assist with activities, games, enrichment programs, and field trips
• facilitate age-appropriate STEM, sports, arts, leadership, literacy, and social-emotional activities
• build positive relationships with youth, families, and staff
• assist with setup, cleanup, attendance, snack or lunch service, and transitions
• participate in meetings, training, and professional development
• communicate concerns and successes to leadership.
