The Machine Operator — Material Preparation role is an onsite position in Indianapolis, IN. Compensation is $17–$19 per hour. The role supports Plastic Recycling, Inc.’s Material Preparation department and plant operations. The operator runs and maintains grinding equipment to process materials safely and efficiently. Monitoring output, maintaining production records, and following safety and quality procedures help sustain production flow and consistent product quality.

What you'll do

• Operate industrial grinding equipment
• set up machines and adjust controls to meet material specifications
• monitor equipment and output quality
• inspect, clean, and perform preventive maintenance
• report mechanical issues
• maintain production records
• follow safety policies, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements
• keep the work area organized
• assist with material handling and support other production areas as needed.
