Peer Support Specialist (Lighthouse)

The Peer Support Specialist (Lighthouse) role is full-time and in person at The Lighthouse Navigation Center in Bend, OR. Pay is $18–$23.60 per hour. The center works to provide safe, healing environments and support people facing homelessness, addiction, trauma, and other life challenges. The specialist helps guests engage with day-use activities and navigation services, builds trusting relationships, and connects participants with resources that support health, stability, and recovery. The role contributes to the center’s work addressing chronic homelessness through coordinated support with staff, service providers, and volunteers.

What you'll do

• Create a welcoming and safe environment
• support development and facilitation of daily experiential learning activities
• build trust and meaningful connections with participants
• connect participants with case managers, service providers, treatment teams, and community partners
• advocate for referrals to mental and physical health services
• escort participants to appointments as needed
• introduce participants to services and activities
• guide volunteers
• respond to call-outs and participant emergencies as required
• discuss case plans, coping methods, life choices, and rehabilitation strategies
• support safe and sanitary center operations.
