The Assistant Project Manager – Steel Erection role is full-time and onsite in western Wisconsin, based in Eau Claire, WI, and may support multiple active regional projects. The role supports project managers and field operations with planning, documentation, procurement, material coordination, productivity tracking, and subcontract administration. By maintaining accurate project information and coordinating office, field, customer, vendor, and subcontractor needs, the assistant project manager helps projects progress effectively.

What you'll do

• Support planning, coordination, and execution of structural steel erection projects
• review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation
• coordinate equipment, materials, and subcontracting needs
• prepare purchase orders and subcontract documents
• coordinate material deliveries and maintain jobsite records
• prepare RFIs, submittals, change orders, progress reports, and other records
• track field productivity
• support workforce onboarding, timesheets, and daily reporting
• communicate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Why this role
