Academic Interventionist, K–8

Compensation is $500,000–$0 per year. The Academic Interventionist works onsite in Phoenix, AZ. The role supports English learners in grades K–8 at Empower College Prep, whose mission is to partner with parents to improve students’ educational and life opportunities and empower them to contribute to their communities. The interventionist provides targeted language instruction and works with teachers to support the academic Multi-Tiered Systems of Support process. The role uses student data and individualized interventions to strengthen learning and family engagement.

What you'll do

• Develop and deliver daily Tier 2 and Tier 3 instruction for English learners
• implement agreed-upon interventions for individuals and small groups
• analyze student needs and identify targeted interventions
• compile, maintain, and review student data
• communicate with families and log communications in Synergy
• supervise students outside the classroom and attend school events
• reflect on instruction and curriculum
• participate in professional development and learning communities
• perform other assigned duties, including weekend or after-school events.
