Fryer Operator

The Fryer Operator role is onsite in Burgaw, NC. Pay is $14–$16 per hour. Cardinal Foods manufactures and distributes fruit and vegetable ingredients, including sweet potato fries produced in North Carolina. The operator runs and monitors the continuous fryer to keep cooking conditions, oil management, product flow, and finished-product quality within established specifications. The role supports safe, consistent production and works with quality, maintenance, and other production operators.

What you'll do

• Operate and monitor the continuous fryer
• maintain fryer temperature, oil level, flow, and cooking time
• adjust settings and conveyor speed to meet product specifications
• inspect product appearance, color, texture, and doneness
• perform routine quality checks
• coordinate product flow with batter and downstream operators
• monitor and manage fryer oil
• report equipment or product issues
• complete production and quality records
• assist with startups, shutdowns, changeovers, cleaning, and sanitation
• follow GMP, HACCP, allergen-control, food-safety, and plant-safety procedures.

Why this role

Previous food-processing or manufacturing experience is preferred; commercial fryer experience is preferred. The role involves hot oil, steam, processing equipment, and required personal protective equipment.
