Classroom Aide

The Classroom Aide role is onsite in Gladwin, MI. Pay is $14.30 per hour. The aide supports an early childhood program for eligible children at Mid Michigan Community Action Agency. The role helps deliver a developmentally appropriate program and maintain a safe classroom environment. By assisting children, families, and teaching staff with daily activities and program requirements, the aide contributes to service quality and program goals.

What you'll do

• Assist with curriculum implementation and quality program delivery
• take attendance at mealtimes
• assist with meal service and supervision when no lunch aide is onsite
• assist with child transportation to and from the site
• support children’s safety and intentional learning
• assist with family involvement and goal setting
• maintain a safe, developmentally appropriate classroom
• complete program documentation
• recruit families and promote agency programs
• attend approved training and community events, including evening and weekend events or meetings.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, experience working with young children, a Family Service Credential within 18 months of hire or the first session offered thereafter, and annual training including CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen training.
