Assistant Teacher

The Assistant Teacher role is onsite in Charlotte, NC, with compensation of $15–$17 per hour. The Learning Experience provides early learning and care for young children in a supportive classroom setting. The role supports the Lead Teacher by helping create a safe, nurturing classroom and delivering engaging early learning experiences. Through supervision, classroom routines, curriculum activities, and attention to each child’s developmental needs, the Assistant Teacher contributes to children’s learning and well-being.

What you'll do

• Support the Lead Teacher in maintaining a safe, nurturing classroom
• assist with developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities
• engage children during play, meals, outdoor time, transitions, and routines
• actively supervise children and support required ratios and headcounts
• help maintain classroom organization and documentation
• communicate with families and follow center policies and licensing requirements.
