Supplier Quality Engineer

The Supplier Quality Engineer role is onsite in Fremont, CA, with international travel of 25–40%, including supplier and contract manufacturer sites in Asia. The role owns quality for assigned suppliers or contract manufacturers, qualifying sources, monitoring performance, and driving issues to root cause and lasting corrective action. This work helps ensure purchased materials and cells meet company standards and supports production launches and reliable battery products.

What you'll do

• Audit suppliers and contract manufacturers against AS9100, ISO 9001, and company requirements
• lead PPAP or first-article approvals
• define incoming inspection plans and acceptance criteria
• support cell-design transfers with control plans and process FMEAs
• track supplier quality and delivery data
• conduct supplier reviews and on-site audits
• review supplier change notifications
• lead containment, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions for nonconforming materials and quality escapes
• support Lean and Six Sigma projects.
