What you'll do
- Inspect manufactured and purchased products, including ripping, molding, finishing, labeling, packaging, and inventory
- audit inventory from the production floor through shipments
- measure dimensions and grade specifications
- identify lumber species
- interpret drawings and use a digital caliper
- review sanding and finish specifications
- inspect returns and handle customer complaints
- generate quality control reports
- assist supervisors with training employees on grading specifications.
