Lead Developer — Drupal and React Platform

Job overview

The Lead Developer role is remote from anywhere in the United States, excluding its territories. Compensation is $135,000–$145,000 per year. Bixal works with governments and organizations to improve services and experiences for the communities they serve. The role provides technical leadership for a Drupal and React platform, delivering data products and maintaining security, accessibility, and availability. It also advances platform modernization through hosting and CDN migration and consolidation of other data websites.

What you'll do

• Serve as technical authority for the Drupal and React platform, JSON:API integration, custom Drupal modules, and SQLite/MySQL data layers
• maintain Acquia hosting, Akamai CDN, and integrations
• lead development of data products, tools, dashboards, and features
• build role-based access controls and self-service publishing tools
• provide secure APIs
• manage releases and testing
• maintain Section 508, WCAG 2.1 AA, and FISMA compliance
• oversee monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, migrations, system integration, and technical documentation.
