The Dietary Aide is an onsite, full-time role in Melrose Park, IL. Pay is $15.75 per hour. Hope’s Dietary Aide supports meal preparation and service for clients and staff, including meals for special events. The role helps ensure meals are prepared and served according to individual client diet plans, with appropriate portions and substitutions. It also supports safe, sanitary food service through accurate labeling, recordkeeping, and assigned cleaning tasks.

What you'll do

• Assist the cook with preparing client meals and staff or special-event meals as directed
• serve meals to clients and staff
• follow sanitation guidelines
• present food attractively
• follow individual client diets and provide appropriate substitutions
• place food and beverages on correctly labeled carts
• use proper utensils and portions according to diet plans
• keep diet cards and menus available during meal service
• maintain dietary records and logs
• follow safety measures including handwashing and use of a lifting belt
• perform assigned cleaning tasks
• attend required training and team meetings
• fulfill mandated-reporter responsibilities concerning suspected abuse or neglect.
