Medical Assistant — Primary Care, Pediatrics, and OB/GYN

Job overview

Compensation is $22–$24 per hour. The Medical Assistant role is onsite in Long Beach, CA, on a Monday–Friday day schedule. TCC Family Health is a federally qualified health center serving the greater Long Beach community with medical, behavioral health, dental, optometry, and wellness services. Under licensed personnel’s direct supervision, the Medical Assistant supports outpatient care through clinical and administrative work, patient intake, rooming, documentation, and coordination with the healthcare team. The role helps maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming clinic environment.

What you'll do

• Provide direct patient care within scope and under licensed supervision
• perform assigned clinical duties
• collect and document patient information in the EMR
• support intake, rooming, and exam preparation
• assist with Women’s Health procedures as trained and authorized
• follow infection prevention and safety practices
• communicate patient care concerns to licensed staff
• maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
• provide administrative support
• participate in care coordination, training, meetings, and quality initiatives.
