Project Accountant

Job overview

The Project Accountant role is onsite in Lorton, Virginia, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation is $85,000–$90,000 per year. Addison Group is recruiting for a growing organization in Lorton. The accountant maintains accurate project financial information throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating with Accounting, Project Management, and Operations on billing, cost tracking, collections, compliance, reporting, and closeout.

What you'll do

• Manage project billing from invoice preparation through collections
• prepare AIA, progress, lump-sum, time-and-materials, and closeout billings
• review contracts and payment terms
• manage retainage, schedules of values, change orders, and lien waivers
• monitor receivables and collections
• set up projects
• track budgets, costs, forecasts, revenue, and commitments
• coordinate vendor and subcontractor costs and compliance
• prepare work-in-progress and financial reports
• support monthly and year-end close
• resolve billing issues
• assist with ERP implementation and process improvements.
