CT Technologist — Computed Tomography

What you'll do

• Review patient histories and physician orders
• explain procedures and equipment to patients
• prepare and administer contrast media or medications within scope when ordered
• monitor patients during procedures
• prepare CT equipment and imaging areas
• follow patient and radiation safety standards
• perform quality-control checks
• troubleshoot or report equipment malfunctions
• position patients and perform CT imaging
• review image quality and take corrective action when needed
• enter, transmit, and report results
• participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
