What you'll do

• Assess client needs and service appropriateness
• administer IV infusions, including port or PIC line infusions and peripheral IV starts and removals
• educate patients about infusion medication
• monitor for adverse reactions and document medications, vital signs, and side effects
• respond to reactions, including anaphylaxis
• communicate with pharmacists and physicians
• notify the physician and Director of Nursing about unusual reactions or condition changes
• and document care and outcomes.
