Job overview
The Childcare Specialist role is onsite across Contra Costa County, including Antioch, Pittsburg, and Richmond, and may also work in Alameda County’s Tri-Valley area. Compensation is $29.00 per hour. East Bay Innovations supports people with developmental disabilities to live, work, and participate in their communities. Within Supported Employment Services, this role provides individualized training and support at community work and internship sites. It helps consumers build vocational and educational skills, pursue employment opportunities, and navigate workplace tasks and related supports.
What you'll do
- Provide coverage at consumer internship or job sites
- deliver job coaching, pre-employment skills training, and assessment
- adapt support to individual needs and learning styles
- assist with wage reporting and understanding effects on benefits
- liaise with clients, families, employers, and partner agencies
- support vocational assessments, tutoring, reports, files, training, and assigned employer outreach.
