The Direct Support Professional (DSP), First Shift role is onsite in Rochester, MI, with a 7:00 AM–3:00 PM schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Compensation is $17.13 per hour. Hope Network New Passages provides personal care and community living supports to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, severe mental illness, and co-occurring diagnoses. The DSP supports safety, daily living, health management, relationships, and community participation. The role contributes to individuals’ independence and well-being by following care plans, assisting with daily activities, and connecting people with community opportunities.

What you'll do

• Monitor safety and support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution
• build collaborative relationships through consistent communication
• help develop problem-solving, communication, and independence skills
• assist with activities of daily living and community activities
• monitor vital signs
• attend medical appointments and relay information to the care team
• implement care plans and document services
• support community participation, volunteering, employment, and educational interests.
