Press Brake Operator

Job overview

The Press Brake Operator role is onsite in Charlotte, NC, with a first-shift schedule of 5:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., Monday–Friday; overtime, including weekends, is available. Pay is $18–$24 per hour, based on experience. The operator supports metal fabrication production by forming parts to specifications. The role sets up, operates, and adjusts press brake machinery to produce accurate parts from blueprints and measurements. It also contributes to production quality and safety through inspections, equipment adjustments, preventive maintenance practices, and communication of production data.

What you'll do

• Set up and adjust production equipment and assist with changeovers
• operate press brake machinery to bend and form metal materials
• conduct first-piece and in-process inspections
• complete production control charts and report quality and production data
• assist with training others
• follow preventive maintenance procedures and report needed repairs
• follow safety policies and PPE requirements.

Why this role

Requires at least six months of press brake operation experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to use measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers. Steel-toe shoes are required; additional PPE is provided.
