Java AI Engineer

The Java AI Engineer role is onsite in Des Moines, IA. Pay is $40–$45 per hour on W-2. The role supports Home Lending Technology, whose work focuses on streamlining home lending, improving user experience and operational efficiency, reducing risk, and delivering efficient loan experiences. The engineer designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents Java and Spring Boot features and fixes, while building RESTful APIs for microservices and transaction workflows. The role contributes to technology delivery and service quality through collaboration with engineers and cross-functional partners and participation in Agile ceremonies.

What you'll do

• Participate in technology initiatives and projects, including installation, upgrades, and deployment
• identify opportunities to improve service quality and availability
• design, code, test, debug, and document features and bug fixes using Java and Spring Boot
• build and consume RESTful APIs for microservices and transaction workflows
• collaborate with engineers and Home Lending Technology partners on delivery and solution design
• participate in standups, retrospectives, sprint planning, and code reviews.

Why this role
