Associate Rotational Engineer is an onsite, entry-level role in Indianapolis, IN. Compensation is not specified. The Operations Engineering Rotational Program provides experience across Allison Transmission’s manufacturing engineering function. Allison makes commercial-duty automatic transmissions and hybrid propulsion systems. The engineer rotates through up to five of seven operations engineering areas, developing technical experience in manufacturing processes, quality, equipment, and plant operations. The program is intended to build capability for placement in a manufacturing engineering department based on the participant’s interests and organizational needs.

What you'll do

  • Assist in developing manufacturing systems and improving quality and production equipment throughput
  • study product requirements and research, design, modify, and test manufacturing methods and equipment
  • support process and product quality
  • analyze process elements and equipment deficiencies
  • provide technical support to plant operations and maintenance
  • support safety policies
  • participate in rotational assignments and occasional employee instruction or work assignment.
