The Adjunct Faculty — Science Labs position is onsite for ground courses at Jackson State Community College locations in Jackson, Lexington, Savannah, or Trenton, TN; online, hybrid, or FLEX courses may also be assigned. Pay is $600 per credit hour. The role supports instruction in Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, or Physics labs. The instructor provides effective lab instruction, maintains a positive learning environment, and coordinates with full-time faculty on laboratory exercises and examinations. The role supports student learning across assigned course modalities and semester-by-semester teaching assignments.

What you'll do

• Teach assigned science lab courses at JSCC locations and, as assigned, online, hybrid, or FLEX
• use the learning management system to provide course materials
• update syllabi
• stay current in the teaching discipline
• attend adjunct orientation
• collaborate with full-time faculty on lab exercises and examinations
• operate, maintain, and clean standard laboratory supplies
• respond to college communications
• submit lab grades by deadlines
• complete required training and reports
• comply with college and TBR policies.
