The Refrigeration Installation Technician Apprentice role is onsite in the Billings metropolitan area, MT, with a service area primarily within 150 miles of Billings. Compensation is $32–$45 per hour, based on experience. The apprentice supports Air Controls, a refrigeration contractor serving grocery stores, warehouses, commercial buildings, and restaurants across the region. The apprentice learns to install, maintain, diagnose, and repair refrigeration systems and related components. This work supports reliable service for the company’s commercial customers while developing the technician’s skills through on-the-job training.

What you'll do

• Learn to install, maintain, diagnose, and repair supermarket, grocery-store, and small commercial refrigeration systems, including walk-ins, ice machines, self-contained units, and DDC controls.
• The posting also describes opportunities to expand knowledge into commercial and residential HVAC, heat pumps, cooling towers, boilers, and kitchen cooking equipment.
• A high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and willingness to travel when needed are required.
