Material Handler I

The Material Handler I role is onsite in New Brunswick, NJ. Pay is $21–$22.50 per hour. The role supports Veolia’s environmental services, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste management. Under direct supervision, the handler moves, loads, unloads, packs, and prepares waste materials for processing or transportation. The work supports safe handling, decontamination, documentation, and housekeeping at the facility.

What you'll do

• Load and unload containers
• construct, stack, label, and load boxes or fiber containers
• use tools such as impact wrenches, shovels, and jackhammers
• transport hazardous waste within the facility as directed
• decontaminate and dispose of empty containers according to applicable guidelines
• assist with processing paperwork and material transportation
• perform housekeeping
• maintain a clean, organized, safe work area
• inspect material-handling equipment as directed
• assist with loading and unloading at designated sites using equipment for which trained.
