Project Engineer

Job overview

The Project Engineer role is onsite in Portland, OR, with a typical Monday–Friday schedule averaging 8–10 hours per day based on business needs, project type, or phase. Compensation is not specified. The engineer assists the Project Manager in overseeing construction projects and helps coordinate project controls, documentation, subcontractors, and communication among owners, architects, and project teams. This work supports project delivery within budget and timeframe while protecting the interests of the business and client.

What you'll do

• Contribute to monthly cost report meetings and project controls
• expedite material deliveries
• liaise among owners, architects, subcontractors, and the company
• coordinate project information and documentation
• route, review, and approve subcontractor submittals
• create, assess, route, and distribute RFIs and correspondence
• obtain and maintain construction permits
• support preconstruction efforts and client development.

Why this role
