Denim Design Assistant

Job overview

The Denim Design Assistant role is hybrid, based in Los Angeles, CA, with four days per week in the office. The anticipated base pay range is $25–$30 per hour. The role supports Reformation’s in-house Design team and reports to the Director of Denim Design. The assistant contributes across denim concept development and product development, helping the team move designs from research and inspiration through final handoff. The work combines creative support with organized tracking and coordination across design, merchandising, product development, technical design, and production.

What you'll do

• Assist with denim concept development, trend research, and seasonal inspiration
• build mood boards, color stories, and presentation decks
• prepare and organize sketches, tech packs, and CADs
• track sample status, fit comments, and revisions
• attend fittings and communicate updates
• coordinate timing and milestones with Production and Technical Design
• conduct market and competitive research
• maintain the design library
• support wash development and denim-related tasks
• manage calendars, scheduling, and vendor follow-ups.
