Engineer – EV Battery Manufacturing Equipment

Job overview

The Engineer role is onsite in Liberty, NC, with 25% domestic and international travel; compensation is $55–$63 per hour. The position is in the client’s Battery Manufacturing Engineering Department, Implementation Group, supporting production preparation and new-model launches of EV battery manufacturing equipment. The engineer coordinates equipment procurement, validation, installation, trials, and launch to prepare manufacturing processes for production. The role also supports safe installation, quality-focused trials, project controls, and technical standards while collaborating across teams and international boundaries.

What you'll do

• Lead procurement, validation, installation, pre-production trials, and launch of EV battery manufacturing equipment
• maintain schedules and budget controls
• create process plans and machine specifications
• apply electrical, mechanical, and civil design knowledge to engineering criteria and design feedback
• prepare explanatory documents and drawings
• coordinate with vendors, contractors, service providers, and internal teams
• monitor installation and resolve field issues
• support safety requirements and production trials
• mentor team members and author technical standards and work instructions.
