OB Sonographer / Ultrasound Technician

The OB Sonographer / Ultrasound Technician role is onsite in Corbin, KY; The position supports Grace Health's provider-directed diagnostic testing and team-based patient care. The sonographer performs ultrasound procedures and produces diagnostic images for provider interpretation, while helping patients understand and complete examinations. The role also supports equipment readiness, accurate study archiving, preliminary reporting, and coordination with providers and the broader care team.

What you'll do

• Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures according to accepted protocols and provider direction
• instruct patients about procedures
• follow equipment safety standards
• obtain requested diagnostic images
• maintain ultrasound and vascular lab equipment
• use the PACS system to archive studies and generate preliminary reports
• maintain examination rooms and supplies
• complete pre-authorizations and medical necessity verifications
• train new employees
• coordinate with providers and care team members.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma and completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program. RDMS certification in one or more listed areas is required; OB/GYN certification must be completed within six months of hire. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
