CNC Machinist — Vertical Turret Lathe and Horizontal Boring Mill

The CNC Machinist role is onsite in Cleveland, OH. Pay is $30–$35+ per hour, commensurate with experience. The machinist supports heavy-industry manufacturing operations and reports to the Machine Shop Supervisor. The role sets up, programs, and operates large CNC machines to produce complex, tight-tolerance components. Accurate inspection and process improvements help maintain quality and support low-volume production runs, while mentoring helps develop junior machinists.

What you'll do

• Review engineering prints and select tooling
• set up, adjust, and operate horizontal boring mills and vertical turret lathes
• edit and optimize G-code programs
• inspect components using precision gauges and CMM equipment
• safely rig and transfer heavy fabrications with overhead cranes
• identify improvements to tooling, setup times, and machining practices
• mentor and train less experienced machinists.

Why this role

Requires 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a low-volume, high-mix environment and proficiency with VTL or HBM machines. Second shift runs Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–2:00 AM; weekend day shift runs Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, with 36 hours paid as 40.
