Patient Care Technician – PRN

The Patient Care Technician role is onsite in Cordele, GA. Compensation is not specified. The technician works under the leadership of the departmental Nursing Director and the supervision of a licensed nurse to provide patient care. The role supports nursing staff and providers by assisting with basic patient needs, monitoring and communicating changes in condition, and carrying out related care activities under licensed-nurse direction. It contributes to safe, coordinated care through equipment use, specimen transport, documentation, and teamwork.

What you'll do

• Provide basic patient care, including feeding, positioning, hygiene, and oral care
• support nursing staff and providers under licensed-nurse direction
• alert medical staff to changes in patient condition
• operate medical equipment safely
• collect and transport specimens as directed
• obtain EKG readings and communicate with providers
• provide one-on-one safety monitoring for behavioral health or psychiatric patients
• provide basic clerical support and follow safety and infection-control practices.
