The Class A Commercial Driver — Pickup Route role is onsite in Rockford, IL. Compensation is $23–$27 per hour. Spee-Dee Delivery Service provides standard next-day ground delivery across the Midwest. The driver operates a tractor-trailer combination or straight truck on an established route, collecting freight from shippers and returning it to the terminal. What you'll do

• Conduct pre-trip inspections and complete inspection, mileage, and maintenance forms
• drive to shippers and load freight
• transfer freight to the terminal for unloading
• verify load documentation
• maintain required DOT certifications and follow safety policies
• wash the tractor and equipment daily
• assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pickup as needed.

Why this role

Monday–Friday schedule with an 11:00 a.m. start and 10–15 hours of overtime expected weekly; overtime is paid at time and a half after 40 hours. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered. CDL Class A license and good driving record required; doubles/triples endorsement required or must be obtainable.
