What you'll do

• Verify, allocate, and post transaction details to subsidiary accounts and journals or computer files
• summarize ledger details and transfer data to the general ledger
• reconcile and balance accounts
• compile records of receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profit and loss
• calculate associate wages from time cards and submit payroll registers
• follow up on payroll issues as needed
• prepare tax reports and monthly customer statements
• complete records through trial balances.
