Protective Service Officer

Job overview

The Protective Service Officer role is onsite in Rochester, NY. Pay is $19–$21 per hour. The officer supports safety and protection for people and property at St. John’s. The role monitors buildings and grounds, responds to emergencies, and helps maintain a safe environment for residents, employees, and visitors. It also supports fire and disaster drills, safety inspections, incident investigations, and customer service.

What you'll do

• Monitor grounds and buildings
• secure residents’ belongings and manage lost and found
• maintain protective-services equipment
• assist with emergencies
• enforce traffic and parking rules
• monitor fire systems and alarms
• investigate and report unsafe conditions
• assist with incident investigations and drills
• conduct safety tours and provide employee escorts when necessary.
