The Senior Vice President, Agricultural & Rural Banking Policy role is onsite at the American Bankers Association’s Washington, D.C. headquarters. The target base salary is $290,000 to $310,000 per year. The role leads ABA’s agricultural and rural banking policy and advocacy work. The SVP develops and advances policy positions, represents the association with policymakers and industry stakeholders, and connects member perspectives with ABA’s broader policy and advocacy teams. The role supports a policy environment intended to foster a vibrant agricultural and rural economy.

What you'll do

• Serve as ABA’s lead subject matter expert on agricultural and rural banking
• develop and communicate policy positions
• advocate before Congress, regulators, coalitions, and other stakeholders
• integrate agricultural and rural banking priorities across ABA
• lead the Agricultural Bankers Committee
• brief senior bankers and ABA leadership
• prepare testimony and advocacy materials
• support the Agricultural Bankers Conference
• coordinate consultants and partners
• provide market intelligence.
