ASAM Group Facilitator

Job overview

The ASAM Group Facilitator role is onsite in Norfolk, VA, with compensation of $25–$35 per hour. Because We Care II Inc provides behavioral health and substance use treatment in the Norfolk community. The facilitator guides structured group sessions as part of a substance use treatment program. The role supports recovery through evidence-based sessions, progress documentation, individualized treatment planning, and coordination with clinical staff and outside agencies.

What you'll do

• Facilitate evidence-based group therapy and psychoeducational sessions aligned with ASAM criteria
• assess client progress and document session notes, treatment updates, and observations
• develop and implement individualized and group treatment plans
• maintain a safe, supportive group environment
• coordinate care with clinical staff, case managers, and outside agencies
• monitor program compliance and report concerns
• provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed.
