Child Care Assistant – Afternoon Closing Shift

The Child Care Assistant – Afternoon Closing Shift role is onsite in Sioux Falls, SD. Pay is $13–$15 per hour. The position supports Precious Angels Learning Center’s effort to provide children with a safe, caring, and positive end-of-day transition. The assistant supervises children during developmentally appropriate play, supports classroom routines and cleanup, and helps ensure safe sign-out to authorized adults. The role also includes sanitizing shared items and communicating respectfully with children, parents, and staff while following center policies and licensing regulations.

What you'll do

• Supervise and engage children in safe, developmentally appropriate play
• assist with classroom cleanup and end-of-day organization
• support teachers with activities, transitions, and routines
• ensure children are signed out safely to authorized adults
• sanitize toys, tables, and common areas
• follow center policies and state childcare licensing regulations
• communicate respectfully with children, parents, and staff.
