What you'll do

• Provides proficient-level manual labor and operations including hand digging, traffic control setup, entry-level equipment operations, placing fiber, loading materials, and leading crews on safety-sensitive utility construction sites.
• Proficient with utility print and map reading.
• Has at least 1 year of independent equipment operating experience (directional drill, mini, plow, hydro, etc.) and is fully trained in all safety regulations.
• Supports and leads the setup and shutdown of utility construction projects.
• Communicates professionally with customers, subcontractors, and homeowners.
• Trains other construction crew members.
• Leads by example and ensures safety rules are followed.
• Performs OTJ training.
• Leads hazard identification through pre-task processes.
• Performs other duties as requested.

What we're looking for

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience

2+ years of utility construction experience acting as a crew leader and/or foreman required. 1+ year of heavy equipment operating experience required (Hydro, Drill, Mini, Plow).
